For my first ever look for my “Goddess does Makeup” series, I decided to do a look that is appropriate for school. I graduated from college 3 years ago but I know that there are a lot of young girls out there who are still in school who might appreciate this kind of post. I enlisted the help of my younger sister (who is a freshman in college) to be my “model” for this look. Thankfully, she agreed to let me use her face as my canvas! Haha. You must know that my sister is not a girly girl so it kind of took me quite some time to convince her to help me out!
Makeup for school should be light and simple. As a student, you have limited time every morning to put makeup on so it’s better to keep it simple. Also, you would want your makeup to look fresh especially if you had a long study session the night before!
So here’s the look that I came up with for my sister. Please excuse my poor photo-taking skills! Haha.
For her face, I just used BB Cream which gives the skin a fresh and dewy finish. I also concealed her blemishes with a little bit of concealer and topped it off with face powder. I also applied a little bit of blush on her cheeks.
I believe eyeshadow is optional for a school appropriate makeup look. But if you do want to wear eyeshadow, stick to light colors. You don’t need to wear a smokey eye to school!
For this particular look, I just applied a nice pearly champagne color on her lids. To define her eyes, I applied a darker shade on the outer corners of her eyes. I also applied black liquid eyeliner on her upper lash lines. I also just filled in her eyebrows with a little bit of eyebrow wax. Ofcourse, don’t forget mascara! Mascara would instantly make your lashes fuller and your eyes pop!
To cap off this look, I also did a quick and easy side-swept fish tail braid on my sister. Fish tail braids are very in right now and it just looks really nice and classy. This hairstyle is not only appropriate for school but it can also be worn on romantic dates and formal occasions.
The materials I used for this look are budget friendly as well. As a student, you don’t need to spend your allowance on the expensive stuff! Just get some good basics and your good to go!

For the lips, I used the Pixi Glow Magic Tink Tint. I love this lip product! On the tube it appears to be very light! But it actually gives a nice tint to the lips once applied. 🙂
What do you guys think of this look? Is this something that you might wear on a daily basis to school? Please comment below and let me know! 🙂
Also, if there are makeup looks that you guys would want me to try, please let me know as well!
