My Bedtime Must Haves

Having a beauty routine before bedtime is just as important as having one in the morning. At night, your body and skin needs to rest and recharge. Therefore, it’s important that we use products that will help relax and rejuvenate our bodies and our skin while we sleep.

I have quite a simple routine before bedtime and it’s a routine I’ve been following since I was in college. The products I’m using may have changed or I may have added some products to the Β routine. But essentially, the routine is pretty much the same.

Deep Sleep Dream Cream by This Works

I usually have trouble sleeping. Even in the wee hours of dawn, I sometimes find myself wide-eyed and awake! I’ve recently discovered this product through Lily Pebbles on YouTube and so far I love the way it works! It’s a cream formula that you can apply on your hand and body and it helps you relax at night. This product contains lavender and chamomile which I believe contributes to its relaxing effect. It has a very soothing scent which I find is similar to most bedtime lotions.

Oil of Argan 100% Pure Moroccan Argan Oil

Argan Oil has recently been the craze because of its anti-aging effect. I use this every night and I apply a tiny bit on my under eye area to reduce puffiness and fine lines.

Garnier Overnight Whitening Peeling Cream

I have dark pigmentation due to acne scars on some areas of my face and I’ve been testing this cream out for that. This cream is designed to peel off dullness and reduce dark spots. So far, some of my scars have lightened. I will keep on using this cream and see if my dark spots will completely fade.

Snoe Bedside Beso Balm

I am an advocate of applying petroleum jelly on my lips before I sleep. It helps eliminate chapped lips. Recently, I started using the Snoe Bedside Beso Balm which is specifically designed to be used at night. I was skeptical at first because I’ve been using petroleum jelly for so long. To add to that, I tried using Chapstick prior to sleeping before and I woke up with the most uncomfortable sensation on my lips! So far, I am loving this product by Snoe. I find myself waking up each morning with soft and smooth lips! It just works as great as petroleum jelly!

Petroleum Jelly

Even though I recently stopped using petroleum jelly on my lips, this product is still part of my bedtime routine! I have always used petroleum jelly on my feet as well, after which I use socks. This helps keep the feet smooth and helps soothe it after a long day at work.

What are your bedtime essentials? Please comment below and let me know! I’d love to hear from you!

I also have a bad experience with Chapstick!

I used to apply Petroleum Jelly on my feet, when I was in Baguio during college. But that was a long time ago. I stopped doing it, nakakatamad! πŸ™‚ I envy you for having the perseverance to do it every night. πŸ™‚

Thanks Joy! I guess it has just been my habit to apply petroleum jelly on my feet since I have been doing it since I was in high school. Even when I travel, I make sure that I have petroleum jelly with me! I find it hard to sleep when I know I haven’t applied petroleum jelly on my feet! That probably makes me weird! Haha.

Hi Ghia! Glad to see you blogging πŸ™‚ My before bed time routine includes washing and toning my face, moisturizer, and lots of lotion! I’m currently using skin care products from Vichy and Avene. I realized I needed a hardcore moisturizer because the winter was drying my skin out so much. That’s why I decided to invest in good skin care. Then, I use lotion on my feet and hands. I cannot live without lotion!
