How’s everyone doing today? I hope that whatever you’re doing or wherever you are, you’re having a blast. 🙂
Today, I’m going to blog about the It’s Judy Time palette which I’ve hauled recently. As you may or may not know, BH Cosmetics came out with 2 palettes in collaboration with YouTube beauty gurus That’s Heart and It’s Judy Time. These gals are some of my fave beauty gurus on YouTube and the fact that they are Filipinas make me feel close to them!
I’ve already reviewed the That’s Heart palette here and I can honestly say that I enjoy using that palette! Judy’s palette is quite different since it’s composed purely of eyeshadows.
The palette comes in a sleek, black cardboard case with gold labeling. Personally, I like the gold labeling because it looks elegant and sophisticated.
The palette has 12 eyeshadows, most of which are neutrals. The eyeshadows come in a mix of mattes and shimmers. Actually, there are only 5 matte eyeshadows in this palette; the rest have shimmer in them.
Like the That’s Heart palette, the pigmentation of the eyeshadows in Judy’s palette are a bit of a hit and miss. The shimmery ones have greater pigmentation but the mattes have lesser color payoff. Surprisingly, the matte eyeshadows in this palette do not come off as chalky which is somehow expected of matte eyeshadows. So I guess that’s a plus!
The palette also contains 2 purplish shades and 1 deep blue shade. I am quite disappointed with the blue shade (the farthest right in the bottom row) because the color payoff is minimal. But, I find that the pigmentation of these eyeshadows improve with an eye primer.
In terms of application, these eyeshadows are really easy to apply and blend because they are so soft! The shimmery eyeshadows are great colors for the eyelids and the crease while the mattes are great for blending or for color transition. As for staying power, I find that the more pigmented colors stay longer without a primer.
The It’s Judy Time palette for me is a good buy because the colors are wearable and are very easy to apply. With 12 eyeshadows in the palette, one can come up with different looks with it. I also like that the colors included in the palette are great for both day and evening looks! I think that if you are looking for a nice neutral palette and can’t afford the Naked palettes, the It’s Judy Time is a great yet more affordable alternative!
I believe that this palette is still available at the BH Cosmetics site. But if you’re in the Philippines, you may check out Sweet and Sparkle on Facebook.
