Neutral Eyeshadows That Won’t Break Your Wallet

Hello!

I’ve been blogging for almost a year now and have been engrossed with the beauty world for a longer time and I have noted how women worship neutral, earth-toned eyeshadows. I don’t blame them because my heart palpitates with excitement (I kid you not!) whenever I see a trio, a quad or a whole palette of neutral eyeshadows!

Neutral eyeshadows are perfect for daily use. They look natural and it’s really a no-brainer to apply them. Because of these reasons, I gravitate towards these kinds of eyeshadows and my makeup stash has a whole clan of them! And in this blog post, I’ll be sharing some affordable recommendations in case you’re on the lookout for eyeshadows or would just want to add more to your collection!

Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells

Wet N Wild eyeshadows are probably the best that the drugstore could offer. The pigmentation is amazing, the color range is endless and the shadows last long on the lids even without a primer! Ohh and the shadows are as soft and smooth as butter!

Wet N Wild

The Wet N Wild trios are designed so that each trio has colors that can be coordinated for a great eye look. The Walking On Eggshells trio has amazing neutral eyeshadows that can be used for everyday. The light pinkish nude color is a great base for all over the eyelids while the crease color if perfect for adding a bit of depth and definition to the eyes.

Essence Quattro Eyeshadow in To Die For

Like its name says, this quad is to die for! I’ve such great luck with Essence eyeshadows because the ones I have are awesome! This quad, specifically, is my favorite!

Essence

The first three colors in this quad are very similar to colors of Wet N Wild Walking On Eggshells Trio although they are not as pigmented. However, I have no qualms about the pigmentation of the eyeshadows in this quad because I think that they do have great color payoff and they are very blendable. Another thing worth noting on this quad is that it has a matte dark brown eyeshadow which can be used for lining the eyes or in my case, I use it to fill in my brows!

Now on to the palettes!

Sleek Au Naturel Palette

If you haven’t heard or tried any Sleek products, I tell you my friend, you’ve been missing out on something awesome! Sleek products are amazing! I haven’t encountered a Sleek product that I did not love! Their eyeshadow palettes are the best! Their palettes come in 12 eyeshadows with a mix of matte and shimmery ones. My favorite Sleek eyeshadow palette is the Au Naturel palette which contains some of the most beautiful earth-toned eyeshadows on the planet!

Sleek

Sleek eyeshadows are known for their pigmentation. Even their matte eyeshadows are pigmented. These eyeshadows are also very easy to blend as they are really soft. This palette is an awesome product because it’s very affordable and you get twelve beautiful eyeshadows!

Swatched above are my favorite colors from the palette called Conker, Mineral Earth, Taupe and Moss.

Makeup Academy Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette

Makeup Academy (MUA), like Sleek, is a British drugstore brand that is known for their eyeshadow palettes. Their Heaven and Earth palette is a great neutral palette because it has twelve SHIMMERY earth and neutral hues. Emphasis on word shimmery because this palette does not contain a matte shade whatsoever. So if you want a palette with a good mix of eyeshadows with matte and shimmery finishes, I’d recommend the Sleek Au Naturel Palette.

MUA

I find that a lot of the colors on this palette, especially the darker ones, are great if you just want to use one eyeshadow all over your eyes. The color payoff with this palette is great; I just take crappy photos of eyeshadow swatches! Haha.

What are your fave neutral eyeshadow trios, quads or palettes? I’d love to know your recommendations!

Xoxo!

Nice post! Very useful! I had one palette from Essence which was awful and I still have some good single eyeshadows but I didn’t try such quads. I own two sleek palettes and I think it’s a lot of shades for a price. 🙂
