June 2014 Favorites :)

Hello!

June has been a whirlwind for me! I feel that June has been my busiest month so far what with my workload at my real job and other personal stuff. Yeah, I have a corporate job which takes most of my time. So if I haven’t been blogging a lot, you know why.

I’ve tried quite a few new products in the month of June and while some just left me dismayed, there are actually some bits that made it into my June favorites.

I totally changed my foundation routine this June. If you can remember in my May favorites, I wrote about how much I love my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. I still love that product, don’t get me wrong. But with the cooler months coming in, I get to wear foundations again and I’ve been really loving the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation. This foundation has a thick consistency. I remember that when I used this for the first time, I put on way too much product on my face that it felt really heavy! A little amount (as in a pea sized amount) of this product goes a long, long way. It’s also very easy to blend, has medium to full coverage and works really well on my oily skin.

I’ve also been loving the Porefessional from Benefit. It’s really doing a good job of minimizing my pores and keeping the oiliness in my face at bay.

For concealer, I rediscovered my love for the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. I swear that this stuff is awesome! It’s such a great under eye concealer and it’s also great for concealing my blemishes! The only thing that I hate about this concealer is it’s packaging because it comes with a pump that releases way too much product every single time I use it! I wish this product came with a doe foot applicator instead.

I’ve been loving a lot products from The Body Shop lately and their Tea Tree line has really amazing products. The Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash is really great because it helps clear out my blemishes. This product paired with the Blemish Fade Lotion from the same line has really helped my acne prone skin from breaking out and has helped lighten my acne scars.

I’ve really been into corals lately and I’m seriously in love with this E.L.F. Moisturizing Lipstick in Coral Cutie! The formula of this lipstick is so moisturizing that it glides on your lips like butter. Amazingly enough, this lipstick actually has great staying power despite its formula.

I got a sample of the Benefit They’re Real Mascara in my June BDJ Box. I’ve heard mix reviews about this mascara ever since it came out and I’ve never really thought of trying it out. I honestly find it expensive for a mascara knowing that I could get an amazing mascara at the drugstore for a much cheaper price. However, I am actually impressed with this mascara. The formula is very volumizing yet it does not clamp my eyelashes together.

The Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Buried Treasure is such a beautiful color! I’m not sure how to describe this color but I see it as a taupe-ish purple color with tiny silver glitters. This color is so wearable and the formula of the nail polish is amazing because it lasted a whole week on my nails before I needed to repaint them!

I love body butters! I just couldn’t live without them! The Body Shop’s Honeymania is like, for me, the mother of all body butters! It’s so moisturizing and it smells so freaking good! I only bought this tub this June and I can tell you that I’ve probably used up atleast half of the contents of this tub! Haha.

I hope all of you had a lovely month of June! We’re halfway through the year and I’m just so excited that July is now here!

Xoxo!

Hmm, If you really wanted to work with this you could clean out an old lipgloss and just pump it into that and then be able to use the doe foot applicator. But that may be a little too much.

I’m actually thinking of buying one of those tiny cosmetic pots and emptying out my concealer into the pot. Even though it wouldn’t have a doe foot applicator, atleast I would still be able to get just the right amount that I need for concealing my under eyes and blemishes! But, I like your tip! I might try that one out! Thanks Veronica! 🙂

I’ve been meaning to try the Porefessional from Benefit, but wasn’t sure if it would also decrease oiliness, I think I’ll try it now that a real makeup blogger has recommended it- I trust your judgement! 🙂

I’ve always been recommended MAC concealer but never tried it. Does it cover dark blemish, as I have this one dark blemish that is always difficult for any concealer I have tried to cover. Thanks, and I’m glad I stumbled upon your blog:)
