FOTD: Bronze & Black

I went out to have dinner with my friend a few nights ago. My friend is leaving the Philippines for a wonderful job opportunity abroad. I’m sad that she’s leaving but I’m happy that she got this opportunity. So, Che if you’re reading this, good luck! Hehe.

Anyway, I did my makeup a little bit different for that dinner. I don’t usually wear eyeshadow or heavy eyeliner on a daily basis. But, I decided to go with both just for the heck of it. Oh and I managed to do my hair differently as well compared to my usual ponytail!

Here’s the look that I came up with:

This look is very simple and is great for an everyday look if you’re considering wearing eyeshadow.

I used a bronze eyeshadow all over my eyelids and heavily line my upper lash line with a black eye pencil. I opted out of doing a cat-eye because I don’t think it suits my eye shape really well.

Products used:

For my face, I used The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Pore Minimiser as my primer. I didn’t want to wear foundation and went for a more lightweight option with The Body Shop’s Tea Tree BB Cream. For my under eyes and a few blemishes, I used the Catrice Camouflage Cream. In case you haven’t seen my blog post on my current blush picks, I’ve been loving the Ellana Minerals Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Cream in Deep Peach! I used this product as my blush for this look because I love how it gives my cheeks a natural flush. I set all my face base using the Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Powder in Almond Latte.

I primed my eyelids using Benefit’s Stay Don’t Stray Eye Primer. I really have oily eyelids that is why a primer is a must and this primer from Benefit works really well! I applied the Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Bad to The Bronze all over my eyelids as a base. I then dusted a bronze eyeshadow from the It’s Judy Time palette all over my eyelids to seal the cream eyeshadow into place.I used the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Stick in Guilty Grey to heavily line mine upper lash line. For mascara, I used my Maybelline Colossal Volume Express mascara as usual.

For my lips, I used one of the newest additions to Happy Skin Cosmetics’ Shut and Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippies line. This shade is called Honeymoon Glow and it is now part of their permanent line. I am really loving this lip color and have been wearing it everyday since I got it!

I decided to let my hair loose for that day but I braided a small section of my hair and pinned it to the side of my head for a more feminine look.

Have a wonderful day!
