3 Lip Products to take on a Vacation

I recently went home to our province to visit my family and celebrate my grandmother’s 80th birthday! As is usual of me, I over packed in both the clothing and makeup department! Together with my other makeup, I packed 3 lip products that I thought would be great to take on a vacation.

The 3 lip products that I’ve brought with me included one that I can use for a day makeup look, one for a nighttime makeup look and another for an all-around, easy-to-wear-for-when-you-are-in-a-hurry look.

Swatches from left to right: Girls Night Out, Twig, Sugar Plum

MAC Lipstick in Twig

Twig is probably my favorite lipstick by MAC and it’s a great color for a daytime makeup look! This lipstick is a nudish pink color that goes well with a “no makeup” makeup look. This color is basically the natural color of my lips but better!

Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie in Girls Night Out

Girls Night Out is my go-to color for a night time makeup look! I love wearing this lip color may it be to a party or just a simple get-together dinner with friends! This lip product is long lasting that you wouldn’t have to worry about touch-ups throughout the night!

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Plum

I love the Revlon Lip Butters and I have collected a few of them throughout the years! I just think that they are very easy to wear! You don’t even need a mirror to apply it which makes it perfect for when you’re on the go! I love that these butters are nicely tinted! Sugar Plum in particular has a nice plum tint to it that is not overwhelming because it applies very sheer. I also love that these lip butters are very moisturizing on this lips.

What lip products do you like to take with you when you’re on a vacation?

I was disappointed by Happy Skin’s Girls Night Out. Only tried it from a friend’s tube, it’s streaky on me. No one else seems to have the same complaint. I think it’s the anatomy of my lips 😐 That’s why I prefer matte and opaque lipsticks.

That said, we have the same preferences in terms of lipstick color. Have you tried any lilac/ or blue-pink lipstick? Any recommendation?

Awww. So sad to know that Girls Night Out didn’t work for you. Did you have the same problem with the other Happy Skin colors?

As for lilac/blue-pink lipsticks, haven’t tried any. I’d say I’m intimidated by them because I feel that these kinds of colors will not suit my dark complexion. πŸ™‚

Haven’t explored the other colors. Maybe if they come out with a pinky mauve crayon, I would try it out. But I’m more into mattes so, I don’t know 😦
