Simple Party Makeup

Hello!

I had the pleasure of doing my sister’s hair and makeup for a party that she attended a week ago. The party was for her friend’s 18th birthday and the theme was pastel colors.

The makeup that I did on her was pretty simple. I wanted the skin to look nice and flawless but still very natural.

For a party or any event that might go on into the night, I love using the Revlon Colorstay Foundation (shade is Medium Beige). This foundation is incredibly long-lasting and works well on oily skin. I used MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer in NW30 to conceal any discoloration. I also used MAC’s Studio Fix Powder Foundation in NC42 to lightly set the foundation and concealer in place.

The bronzer that I used to slightly contour her cheeks and jawline is the bronzing powder from the Sleek Face Form Palette. For blush, I wanted it to be light and natural so I opted for Happy Skin’s Get Cheeky With Me Blush in First Kiss. On her lips is MAC’s Lipstick in Twig.

I wanted to keep the eye makeup a bit toned down because the theme of the party is quite colorful. I used Too Cool For School’s Dino Platz Eyeshadow on Flatiron in the shade Bronze as the base. I dusted a bronze powder eyeshadow from the It’s Judy Time Palette all over her eyelids. To deepen the crease, I used Inglot’s Eyeshadow in the shade 446 which is a deep plummy-purple color with a shimmery finish.

For the brows, I used another Inglot Eyeshadow in the shade 329. My sister has really full eyebrows so I just filled them in lightly but closely paying attention to getting a nice shape. I used the YniPicture-Esque 3 Dots Eyeliner to line her upper lash lines and adding in a little flick at the end. Creating flicks is definitely made easier with the eyeliner because of its unique brush that has 3 tips! I applied two coats of the Cheek Room Curl & Volume Mascara to give her lashes nice volume and length.

For the hairstyle, I put her hair in benders before doing her makeup to give her hair some soft waves. I then braided a little bit of her hair and pinned it to the side of her head.
