A few weeks ago, I blogged about the simple party makeup that I did on my sister when she attended a friend’s 18th birthday. A week after that party, she had a photoshoot for a pageant that she was participating in. The look required for the photoshoot was something edgy and very smokey.
The base for this makeup look is pretty much similar to the party makeup that I did on her. The only thing that I changed was the foundation because I wanted her skin to look great on camera. The foundation that I used was the Revlon Photoready Airbrush Foundation in Medium Beige. This foundation is really great for taking pictures because it makes the skin appear flawless.
I think the eyes are the real showstoppers of this look. I created a very simple smokey eye look using two colors from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I used Busted all over her eyelids and blending it high up to the crease. I applied Blackout onto her upper lash lines and then blending it out for a smokier, edgier effect. I then lined her upper and lower lash lines with the Karadium Line Hero Auto Gel Liner Pencil. For mascara I used The Cheek Room Curl and Volume Mascara.
Like the simple party makeup, I also used the bronzing powder from the Sleek Face Form Palette to contour her nose and cheeks. For blush, I wanted it to be light and natural so I opted for Happy Skin’s Get Cheeky With Me Blush in First Kiss. Since the eyes are the focal points of this look, I used a very nude color on her lips called Mink from the Revlon Superlustrous Lipstick line.
Here’s the actual photo taken at the photoshoot. I think the look turned out pretty well!
I hope you liked this look!
