Haul – Drugstore Favorites That I Have Not Yet Tried!

A few weeks ago, I’ve thought of doing a haul of drugstore favorites that I have not tried yet. Instead of going to the store to check out what’s new, getting a few new items and ending up not liking them, I thought that getting a few items that the beauty community loves is wiser! So, I asked a few bloggers about their favorites and they gave some recommendations. I also went through Lily Pebbles’ and Vivianna Does Makeup’s blogs because their my faves and they always have some great product recommendations! Armed with gift certificates that I got for Christmas, off I went to the drugstore to pick up the items on my very short list!

L’Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation – This is probably the product that has been most recommended to me! I’ve heard about it’s greatness for so long and Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup raves about this foundation! When I first tried it, I wanted to hit myself in the head for not getting it sooner! It’s such a great foundation! I have been wearing it everyday since I got it!

Covergirl Lash Blast Volume Mascara – This is another highly recommended product. I’ve been loyal to my Maybelline The Colossal Mascara for so long that I thought it’s time to change things up a bit! Mascara-wise, that is! Haha.

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Black – OMG! This is the softest, most pigmented gel eyeliner from the drugstore that I have ever tried! No wonder it’s a favorite by a lot of bloggers!

Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Pink – This is a Lily Pebbles approved product! It’s a peachy-pink blush that is very blendable, pigmented and quite long-lasting! I’ve been using this since I got it as well! It such a great everyday blusher!

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy in Up The Ante – I’ve been hunting down this nail polish color ever since I saw Estee of Essiebutton and a host of other bloggers rave about this color! This color is not one that I would normally wear but I’m kinda in love with it! It’s gel-like formula makes it very long-lasting as well! I’ve only experienced chipping on the 5th day I’ve had this color on!

Maybelline Electro Pop Baby Lips in Berry Bomb – This really didn’t come recommended but I got it still because it’s in a newer packaging! Haha. I’ve tried a few Maybelline Baby Lips before (the ones in the old packaging) and I really liked them! So when I saw this one in a newer packaging, I just couldn’t resist! I mean, you need lip balm the whole year round, right?

What are your favorite products from the drugstore? Please do give me some recommendations because I’d love to do a part 2 of this haul!

Well I love the L’Oreal True Match Foundation and the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner. I guess a few items that I would recommend would be Maybelline’s the nudes palette, L’Oreal’s Infalliable Eyeshadows, Wet n’ Wild’s blush in Pearlescent Pink, love that one! And Maybelline’s Creamy Matte Lipstick in Touch of Spice. Those are just some of my favorites. πŸ™‚ xo

Thanks for the recommendations dear! I hope we have those products here. I mean, we have those brands you mentioned here in the Philippines. But there are some products released in the US or the UK that do not reach Asia which is so sad for me because I love US drugstore brands. πŸ™‚

Oh I didn’t realize you weren’t from the U.S. Well I hope that you can find those products and get to try some of them out. πŸ™‚

Maybelline Great Lash (the waterproof version) is my “old reliable” mascara. I love using it on my bottom lashes. L’Oreal Voluminous (the original) with the curved brush has become a recent favorite. If you run across the new Maybelline matte lipsticks – GRAB THEM!

It’s interesting your version of the L’Oreal True Match comes with a pump. The US version does not. I just picked up a bottle of the Revlon ColorStay for oily/combo skin as I heard it’s a dupe for both the Studio Fix Fluid & Pro Longwear foundations by MAC. I *think* I found the right shade (took my MAC foundation with me to Target). I’ll give it a try tomorrow. If the color isn’t right I’ll just return it and stick with MAC.
