I love KathleenLights! I discovered and started subscribing to her YouTube channel in 2015 and I have been a HUGE fan ever since! She’s witty, funny and amazing with makeup – I mean, what’s not to love about her? She has done a collaboration with Colourpop before but I wasn’t able to get anything from that collection. So when she came out with a new collection with Colourpop, I made sure to get my hands on that!
Her latest collaboration with Colourpop, a quad of Super Shock Shadows called “Where the night is”, is also my first foray into the Colourpop brand. I’ve heard such good things about this brand and I was excited to try out their products! A huge haul post on this brand will come up soon!
This quad contains the colors Weenie (pearlized finish), Porter (metallic finish), Telepathy (ultra metallic finish) and Midnight (metallic finish). Colourpop’s Super Shock Shadows are long-wearing, highly pigmented eyeshadows with a creme powder finish. The texture of these shadows are unlike anything I’ve tried before! They’re powder eyeshadows but they feel really soft and creamy!
Swatches from left to right: Telepathy (a yellowish gold), Weenie (a deep rose gold), Midnight (a dark forest green with hints for gold shimmer) and Porter (a deep plumy red). My favorites are Weenie and Porter!
I am really impressed with these eyeshadows! The colors that Kathleen has included in this quad are unique and are colors that I don’t have in my collection. The quality of these eyeshadows are unlike anything I’ve tried before! I love how pigmented and creamy they are! They are very easy to apply, although, I must add that applying them with a synthetic brush or your fingers will get you a much better application. I’m not sure how long they will last without a primer. I tried them with a primer like I always do with other eyeshadows and they lasted on my lids the entire day!
I highly recommend this quad! Kudos to Kathleen for coming up with such an awesome collection with Colourpop!
