Why I’m a Beauty Blender convert

I’ve always thought that Beauty Blenders were a bit of a gimmick. They’re just makeup sponges and how different could they be? I didn’t give into the hype when it first came out thinking that it’s quite expensive for what it is – a makeup sponge. However years later, the fact that almost everyone in the online beauty community still raves about it made me buy it and see what the fuss was all about!

Boy was I wrong about the Beauty Blender! The hype for this product was definitely justified! Applying foundation and concealer with a damp Beauty Blender is amazing! It gives the most beautiful, natural finish that doesn’t cake throughout the day! Even though it is a sponge, it doesn’t absorb much of the product into it. Instead, it deposits the product evenly as you use it to buff your foundation or concealer onto the skin. The shape of it is quite handy as well. You can use the wider end for buffing in foundation while the pointy end can be used for under the eyes.

The Beauty Blender has worked well with all of my liquid foundations, BB creams, tinted moisturizers and liquid and cream concealers! I sometimes even use it to apply powder underneath my eyes for baking! Thanks NikkieTutorials for the tip!

I have been using the Beauty Blender for my foundation and concealer ever since I got it! I swear I haven’t used any brushes to apply my foundation and concealer since using the Beauty Blender! If you’re still a bit hesitant to invest on a Beauty Blender, I highly recommend that you invest in one! You won’t regret it!

I don’t have the original Beauty Blender but a dupe which works really well, too 🙂 Can’t compare the two, but I agree this little egg shaped sponge gives a lovely finish!
I prefer it to foundation brushes, buffers, and the like.
