February Beauty Superstars!

Hello!

How did your February go? Mine was particularly intense and a bit stressful on the job front. I actually believe that I don’t fit in my actual job (I work in the corporate world). Ever felt like that yourself? Thank heavens I have this blog as an outlet and I get to talk with people like you who are as passionate about beauty, travel and lifestyle as me!

My February Beauty Superstars is mostly made up of new products in my collection that I have been trying in the past month or so. As you may notice, they are also made up of mostly face stuff because I’ve been really obsessed with face bases and skin care recently!

One of the latest trends in Korean beauty is cushion makeup – blushes, foundations, eyeliners. I thought this trend was gimmicky at first but when I tried The Face Shop Oil Control Water Cushion, I was very much impressed! This product gives the most natural, even finish on the skin! I love how it controls the oil on my face – I still get oily but I don’t look like the grease ball that I normally am! Another face base product that I have recently been loving is the Pixi H2O Skintint Tinted Face Gel. Again, this product is great for oily-skinned gals like me. This base feels really light on the skin and it gives a really light yet buildable coverage. I have been using both these face bases interchangeably this past month and I have been loving them for the natural finish that they give!

It may be a bit of an overkill but I have two under eye concealer favorites for the month. I love them and use them for different reasons. I have been using the Pixi Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach to brighten up my under eye area. It has this salmon tone to it that effectively counteracts dark under eyes and instantly brightens that area. I have been using this on days when I had a good night’s sleep and I don’t really need that much coverage on my under eye area. The Laura Mercier High Coverage Concealer For Under Eye is exactly what the name says it is. It is such a creamy, high coverage concealer for under the eyes that effectively conceals any darkness on that area. I use it for days when my under eyes are particularly dark due to lack of sleep and fatigue. I love how creamy it is and how easily it applies without tugging on the delicate skin of your under eyes.

I have been loving the Maybelline Fashion Brow 3D Brow and Nose Palette for my eyebrows. I bought this on a whim because it was new and figured why not? Haha. But this stuff is great, guys! It comes with a wax and 2 shades of powder which can be used for the brows or for nose contouring. I have been using the wax and the middle powder shade for my brows and I love how on point my brows look when I use this!

My last favorite for February is the Biore Micellar Cleansing Water. I love this stuff so much that I am already on my second bottle! I use this to remove my makeup at the end of the day and before doing my extensive nighttime cleansing routine. This removes makeup (even waterproof makeup) so well without irritating the skin. I have tried the cleansing water from the brand Simple before and that one irritated the heck out of my skin and eyes! The Biore one is much more gentle on the skin and it didn’t cause my skin to breakout like the Simple one did!

What were your beauty favorites for the month of February? I love hearing about other people’s favorites because I get ideas on what products to try or not to try.

I hope you all have a meaningful March!

Xoxo!

Used the TFS Oil Control BB Cushion for the first time today and oh my goodness, it’s amazing. I’m so happy they have a darker shade, I think this has the potential to be one of my HG multi-tasking complexion products.
