I apologize for not posting anything last Friday. I usually post every Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays but I was so busy this past week that I was not able to schedule a post for Friday. It’s hard trying to keep up with a blogging schedule especially if it is not the only schedule that you’re trying to keep up with! Is anyone with me on this one? Any tips for keeping up with a blogging schedule?
For today’s post, I thought I’d share with you my in depth review of the Pixi by Petra bases that I have been loving recently. Actually, these two bases that I’ll be featuring in this post are the first face products that I’ve ever tried from the brand. I have been using these products since the beginning of the year and I have enjoyed them so much that I have already featured them in my February Beauty Superstars.
H2O Skintint Tinted Face Gel
“A water-based tinted face gel that evens out skintone and gives complexion a flawless n0-makeup look. Hydrating, long-lasting and water resistant. Contains antioxidant-rich green tea, moisturizing rose water, soothing English chamomile, and relaxing lavander. Paraben and fragrace free. Suitable for eve the most sensitive skin.”
I have been reaching for my lighter coverage bases recently and this tinted face gel is already a favorite of mine! I use the shade No.3 Warm which is the darkest one in the range of 3 shades. I love how easily this product applies. It’s so lightweight that it truly feels as if your not wearing any makeup at all. It does even out my skintone really well and it makes my skin look like an even better version of my natural skin. I have oily skin and this one works well on me since it is water-based. Because this product is infused with green tea which is great for breakouts, I have not had any breakouts with it. I highly recommend this product as an everyday, natural-looking and fuss-free face base.
Correction Concentrate Colour Correcting Concealer
“Concentrated correction cream instantly neutralizes darkness around eyes or anywhere that needs brightening. Contains vitaminss A, C and E and rose hip extract.”
I learned from makeup school that one should first correct then conceal. Due to my laziness, I have always been one to just apply concealer under my eyes to cover up any darkness. I have now realized the error of my ways! Correcting the darkness under your eyes makes a world of a difference. Not only does it even out the color in that area but it also brightens that area making you look more fresh and awake! This correction concentrate by Pixi in the shade Brightening Peach is just amazing for correcting under eye darkness! It has this salmon-y tone to it that effectively evens out the darkness under my eyes. On good days when I’ve had a good amount of sleep, I only use this product under my eyes. But on days when I look particularly zombie-like, I first use the correction concentrate under my eyes and then I pat on some concealer for added coverage. I love how this does not cake under the eyes and I love the instant brightness that it gives!
I’m now looking forward to trying more products from Pixi by Petra! Any recommendations?
