Pixi Skintreats – Yay or Nay?!

I’ve recently had the pleasure of trying out some face makeup products from the brand Pixi by Petra. I’ve been so impressed with the products that I’ve tried that I’ve raved about them in a separate blog post. The brand, through Glamourbox, recently brought in their skincare line called Pixi Skintreats into the Philippines. I haven’t heard much about their skincare line to be honest, but out of my high from trying their face products, I decided to pick up a few items to try. And guess what? The products that I’ve tried from their skincare line are AWESOME!

This skincare line by Pixi is all about healthy, glowing, radiant skin. Because I have oily skin, I’m not one who usually goes for skincare products that would make my skin look radiant and glowing. However, I feel like as I get older, I like my skin to look radiant, healthy and youthful. So I picked up two items from their skincare line – the Glow Mud Mask and Overnight Glow Serum.

I love mud masks that is why the Glow Mud Mask is right up my street. This mud mask is targeted for congested, dull and tired skin and is recommended for all skin types. This is said to be  a “pore-clearing, glow-revealing treat and is an effective and revitalizing boost for the complexion“. Its main ingredients include Ginseng which brightens and clarifies, Sea Salt which is a mineral-rich detoxifier and Rosemary which rejuvenates and stimulates. It is recommended to use this mask in the evening by applying a thin layer onto clean skin and leaving it on for 15 minutes before rinsing it off.

I adore this mud mask! Out of all the mud masks that I’ve tried and currently keep on rotation, the Glow Mud Mask is exceptionally unique because not only is it effective in cleaning out my pores, it also gives my skin that nice, hydrated feeling. I’ve tried mud masks that left my skin feeling dry after use and I never really cared about that before. However, using the Glow Mud Mask made me see and feel such a big difference in the texture of my skin. I love that it sucks out all the dirt from my pores and that it gives my skin that fresh and radiant look after using it!

The Overnight Glow Serum is a serum that “gently exfoliates to reveal a healthier and more even skintone“. It is said to “help reduce that appearance of lines and fades superficial sun damage over time“. Its main ingredients include Glycolic Acid which stimulates cell turnover, Aloe Vera which heals and soothes and Cucumber which calms and relieves puffy skin. This serum is designed to be used at night by massaging 2 to 3 drops onto cleansed, toned skin before moisturizer.

Ever since using this serum, I have noticed a great change in my skin. My dark acne spots have lightened and I’ve noticed how even my skintone looks. I’ve been using this serum every night and when I wake up in the morning, I notice that my skin looks really good! I find that using this product after the Glow Mud Mask gives the best results – a glowing and healthy looking skin! I’ve even had days when I didn’t wear any makeup after using the mask and the serum the night before! If you know me personally, you’d know that not wearing make up is rare for me! But the combination of these two products have changed my skin so well that I’ve been feeling quite confident to go about my day bare faced. Having oily skin, I didn’t have any issues with any of these products. I didn’t find them to reduce or eliminate the oils on my face and I didn’t feel like it made my face more oily either.

I highly, highly recommend the Glow Mud Mask and the Overnight Glow Serum from the Pixi Skintreats line! These products are awesome! Their price tags are a bit hefty but I can totally say that these products are worth it!
