Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder – Yay or Nay?

Hello Loves!

Happy Friday! It’s actually an off day for me today! Yay! So happy that I got to sleep in today; well not just sleep in because I woke up past noon! But I’m just so happy that I got too much sleep! My skin definitely needed that much needed beauty sleep!

I’m sure you’ve all heard about the Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder. Patrickstarrr uses it in all of his tutorials which is where I first saw this product. With the baking trend, loose powders have really become a makeup staple. I’ve been loving the Face of Australia Loose Translucent Powder since I got it in Sydney last year. That product for me has reached holy grail status in my opinion. However this loose powder by Coty is so affordable and is much more accessible that’s why I decided to try it out.

First off, this product smells really weird. I wanted to get that out of the way in case you are sensitive when it comes to your cosmetics smelling weird. It smells like old-school makeup; like something your grandma probably used back in the day. The good thing though is that you don’t get to smell its weird scent once it’s already in your face.

The powder itself is quite heavy and is not as finely milled as I expected. With that said, if you have a lot of lines around your eyes and on your face, I wouldn’t recommend this for baking as it would get cakey.

If you have oily skin, I highly recommend this product as it controls oil really well. I like using this powder to set my foundation and concealer as it gives a nice, flawless finish. I love that this powder does not have a lot of pigment to it because that way it does not change the tone of my foundation and concealer.

I highly recommend this loose powder! That is if you don’t mind its strong scent and the fact that the powder is not that finely milled.

Enjoy your weekend! Xoxo!

I love this powder. It’s a true classic. My grandma used it so the scent reminds me of her. Plus it goes away after application. I use it with high end & drugstore foundations and it works great with both. The Jar lasts for close to a year too.
